Hospitality with Local Roots, Global Standards
Skipping Stones is a hospitality company headquartered in Sikkim, dedicated to developing world-class hotels and resorts in unique destinations. With an insider’s understanding of the region, we bring together local knowledge, sustainable design, and operational excellence to deliver distinctive guest experiences while building sustainable, profitable assets.
Founded in 2008, our journey began with a 52-room riverside retreat in Baiguney, West Sikkim. For years, it operated successfully as Club Mahindra Baiguney. In 2025, this landmark property entered a new chapter as Simala Retreat, our flagship eco-luxury property. It now sets the benchmark for our future portfolio.
Our second property, Vivanta Sikkim, launched in 2021, is a 50-room luxury resort located just 7.5 km from Pakyong Airport. Operated by the Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), home to the Taj Group, it demonstrates our ability to partner with leading operators while shaping the luxury hospitality landscape in Sikkim and beyond.
Today, Skipping Stones is expanding its portfolio with new properties in high-potential destinations. Each project is guided by three principles: sustainability, differentiated guest experiences, and above-market performance.
